Speaking of music, what kind of a hippy web site would it be without some hippy music? I love my music. I have about 17,000 songs in my collection. Everything from Son House to Bob Dylan, from Bad Religion to Sarah Brightman. I included a few Psychedelic Rock songs and others from the '60's, and early '70's, you probably never heard, (unless you are a geezer or hair farmer like me), and some you have heard, (maybe even a request or two), to my pages. I could have made them to start playing when the page opens, but I don't want to impose on you to have to listen while you read. I hate sites that do that! The music does cause the pages to load a bit slower, but be patient with me. Pages open in new windows, so you can cruise the site while playing songs from this page. I hope Dia-RIAA doesn't jump on my back, or send in their jack boot storm troopers to seize my hard drive for illegal file sharing. If you don't like what's playing, try one of the others. I'll change these occasionally. So take a moment to put on the headphones, spark up a fatty, crank up the volume and enjoy! Check out my Album Covers page to see what I've played so far. Everything I play is still available. Hope you can find something you've never heard that you'd like to buy. Check out Rhino Records. They are re-releasing and re-mastering old stuff all the time, keeping the songs alive for the next generation. Thanks Rhino guys. I was playing the whole songs, but got jumped on by Dia-RIAA's European cousin, the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI). so now I'm just using this other music site that provides a nice player that shouldn't get me in trouble although my choice of songs are somewhat limited. Peace, love, and much respect to all. Enjoy my site!

A lot of the beautiful original 60's concert posters I have adorning my Guestbook pages are done by Bob Masse. Prints are available for sale on his web site at http://www.bmasse.com/60s.html Be sure to check them out! In keeping with the principles laid down in Abbie Hoffmans book "Steal This Book" No images contained in this site are used with permission, but rather unabashedly stolen off the net. If you see something that is yours, let me know and I'll give you credit for it. If you want to sue me instead, then carefully read the cat thing in privacy policy first!
Last updated on......what's todays date? This site is a living entity, constantly in flux and change. You may not notice, but it gets edited on an almost daily basis.
This site is optimized for a resolution of 1024x768 with Internet Explorer. I have tried to make it viewable for alternative browsers like Firefox also. If you have issues with a particular browser, I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know. If the colors and type faces I use, hurt your eyes, and gives you a headache, well what can I say. You've probably never been in a room with a black light, and flourescent rock and roll posters all over the walls, trippin on some peppermint barrels. Most of all the old hippy's are probably wearing glasses and bitching about their vision like me, so I tried to make it big enough, and easily readable for all us old coots. If you just can't handle it, try hitting Ctrl + A and view it in blue and white ********************************************************** The music player will play fine with Firefox, or Explorer. Kudos to playlist.com for the cool app.
Welcome to my site! My name is Payton a.k.a. angryhippy. My site is a computer info and help site. But more than that it is a historical look at the music and images that made the '60's and early '70s special. The site is done the way a web site might have looked had it been done in the '60's, if they had computers back in the day. I know you will enjoy yourself whether you take anything away with you or not. About the angry thing? I'm angry about a lot of things, but I won't get into that now. This site is a place for me to have a little fun and share my interests. If you're Joe Tech IT guy, you won't find much new here. Since I have no formal education about computers, I've had to rely on learning it off the web, as I went along. Most of this is for whomever is left out there that is just now starting on computers, and can benefit from my knowledge. Stuff I learned along the way. It's not really important that I have a lot of visitors, although you are very welcome here. If you want to contact me, use the Contact Me page to send me an E-mail. I'm currently into building computers. when I have enough money. I'm also a retired photographer, and space freak. That's space as in outer space, not spaced out. The picture above is the real thing. Or should I say the real things. It's a composite photo. The Martian landscape (Valles Marineris) was taken by the High Resolution Stereo Camera aboard ESA's Mars Express Orbiter. So were the rest of the Mars scapes you'll see on some of the other pages. The view is 1200 km long and 65 km wide. The sky is a photo of the Trifid Nebula taken by NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope. I used PaintShop Pro to create the composite. I'm all those things, but I am mostly a hippy. Or hippie if you want. Since we despise labels, it really doesn't matter if you call me hippy, hippie, flower child, freak, hair farmer, peacenik (one of my favorites. A feeble attempt by the establishment in the '60's to link us to the commies), pot head, or what ever you want to call me. It's all cool. People tell me I'm stuck in the past. So whats wrong with that? Especially if the past was a better time. But I'm not. I'm here not because I'm stuck, but actually because I decided to go back. Like the Musketeers who were disbanded by Cardinal Richelieu, but had to once again take up their swords and uniform to fight again to protect their King, it's time for the hippies to once again fly their freak flag (long hair), and speak out about the assault on our planet, currently being committed by certain governments who will remain unnamed in a very American way.<g> Check out my Mother Earth page for current stories on whats up with the global assault on our planet. Anyway I need to stop or I'll get angry. If you want to know more about the hippies, I would suggest you read this short history of Hippies. It's a good chronicle of the times, but I don't necessarily agree with some of his conclusions. Enough of that! It's time to get down to talking 'bout and having fun with PC's (that doesn't stand for personal confusers by the way). Let me start by telling you about my system, which is already getting obsolete, but since I don't have much money I have to do whatever I can to make it better, and faster. Ya gotta keep up! Come on, we'll check out my home page here, and then let's go to my System page to start this two-bit tour of the madness that is the mind of angryhippy!
